BRAVE NEW WORLD

TRANSLATIONS

Blue Sky's fourth portfolio addresses the reproductive print from the perspective of the 21st century. The eleven selected artists expand the sources of interpretation to include sculpture and drawing as well as painting. The artists are asked to translate their choice of work, staying faithful to the original but to approach the work with a contemporary eye.

    Of Time and Place
OF TIME AND PLACE: A MILLENNIUM PROJECT 1999, 2000, and 2001

The first print portfolio from Blue Sky Press, co-curated by Sherry Smith Bell and Ann Chernow, challenges its ten printmakers from across the nation to illustrate a defining historic event from the 20th century. Artists from California, Connecticut, New York, Nebraska and Oregon express many different artistic viewpoints.

WILD WOMEN
In its second portfolio Blue Sky Press celebrates the wild spirit of creative woman with a new printmaking process, solar plate etching.    The innovative nature of this technique resonates with the innovative nature of the artists selected to participate in this collective project.
